Demo Download

The Data Desk Demo runs on Macs and Power Macs running Mac OS 9.2 or later and PCs running Windows 2000/XP/Vista. By selecting the operating system running on your computer from the pop-up menu below, the correct version of the Data Desk Demo will be downloaded to your computer.

Each hardware-specific download package contains several support files in addition to the appropriate version of Data Desk:

The Read Me file provides instructions on how to get up and running.
The Tour file is a Data Desk file that provides a quick interactive introduction for those of you who are new to Data Desk.
The Companies file is a Data Desk file that we often use to introduce Data Desk. Companies contains a random sample of 79 firms drawn for the 1986 Fortune 500 list.
The QuickStart.txt file is a text-only version of our standard QuickStart Guide. The QuickStart Guide is designed to introduce Data Desk by walking you through an analysis of the Companies data. If you are new to Data Desk we suggest you print this file and work through the Companies example. If you would like the full copy with pictures, see the Read Me file enclosed in the download for information on how to receive a free copy.
The help file is also included to help you find information on general topics that you may have questions about.

The demonstration version of Data Desk offers all of the same powerful capabilities as the full version except for Copy, Paste, Import, Export and Save. If you have questions as you explore these capabilities, please feel free to call or e-mail us.

Data Desk does not install any files outside of its own directory/folder. When you are finished using the demo you can remove it by deleting the Data Desk directory/folder from your hard drive.
